The Budweiser-sponsored and Jay Z orchestrated “Made in America Fest,” is set to kick off this Saturday in Philadelphia’s Benjamin Franklin Parkway. It’s the inaugural Made in America music festival, and if you can’t make it to the city of brotherly love, YouTube and Pandora apparently have your back.  If you don’t have plans to travel to Philadelphia for the event, there’s good news: you can catch a live stream of it all as it unfolds.  Made in America is rapper Jay-Z’s baby, as he has curated all of the talent. Performers included Skrillex, Passion Pit, D’Angelo, Pearl Jam, Drake, Odd Future, Mike Snow, and more. About 30 bands are playing the two-day “Made In America” show Saturday and Sunday along a tree-lined boulevard downtown. Officials expect about 50,000 people to attend each day.  Proceeds benefit United Way organizations in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York City.

This is looking to shape up as one of 2012’s hottest Labor Day Weekend Events. In a statement, an offical said, “This Labor Day, we will not only make history but we’re benefiting a great organization. ‘Budweiser Made In America’ will encompass every genre of music, creating and showcasing the only genre that matters, ‘great music.’ Budweiser and Live Nation are going to produce an amazing two days of performances, and it’s great to partner with United Way again to support all of the positive work they do in the community.”

Budweiser, the festival’s sponsor, has teamed up with both YouTube ( and Pandora ( to live stream performances as they happen. Pandora will broadcast the weekend’s events on its website and listeners can tune in on the mobile app too.     On September 1 and 2, fans will be able to watch live from 2PM until 11PM and video footage will be available 30 days after the concert.     And as if that isn’t enough, it was also recently revealed that a movie, directed by Ron Howard, will be released about the Made In America Festival. According to Mashable:

Yesterday, Budweiser announced that Imagine Entertainment is going to film the festival for a documentary directed by Ron Howard and produced by Brian Grazer. “This will not be a concert film; it’s a reflection of the fabric of what it means to be Made in America‚ what the festival represents, why Jay is doing it and how he relates to each artist,” Howard said in a statement.

Drake, Rick Ross, Wale, Meek Mill, D’Angelo, Jill Scott, Rita Ora, and of course, Jay Z are all scheduled to perform this weekend. And there’s speculation that Beyonce will also make an appearance, but only time will tell.
