Most museums and art galleries in the greater Puget Sound area open their doors to the public at no charge at least once a month. In Seattle and Tacoma, several galleries and museums offer free admission on select Thursday evenings every month. You can visit the Hands On Children’s Museum in Olympia for free from 5-9 p.m. on the first Friday of every month.

The Children’s Museum of Tacoma has free admission between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. the first Friday of each month, and every Thursday in June, July and August.
